Based on WooCommerce, we developed a modern e-commerce platform that automates the rental of electrical equipment and is integrated with the Qeeper storage cabinet. The solution ensures 24/7 availability of services without administrator involvement. Customers can remotely arrange a rental and receive the selected equipment at any time via a QR code.

We focused a lot of attention on the convenience and flexibility of the functionality for the administrator and end users, from analytical research and information architecture to the implementation of unique technical solutions in the administration dashboard. We extended and applied the core functionality of WordPress and WooCommerce, developing custom features and integrations that make this rental platform a unique, fully automated solution.

Project challenge

The project was based on a completely new business idea in the Latvian market. The client’s goal was to create an autonomous rental service that operates without the involvement of an administrator and allows customers to independently and remotely carry out the entire process from order to return of the equipment. Our goal is to develop a stable and secure rental platform for the client, which would enable all these processes.

Challenge

Our client had an original business idea that had not been implemented in the Latvian market before. The biggest challenge was to develop all the processes, identify the necessary functions, plan, predict risks, develop and test the system.

Solution

We modelled rental processes from scratch, identified potential risks and developed mechanisms to address them. The platform is built on WooCommerce with a range of customised features and integrations.

The homepage was designed as an informative landing page that clearly introduces users to the new rental service. It combines a minimalist, attractive design with easy navigation, ensuring that the user immediately understands the offer.

A complete rental ecosystem
with customised features

We created a complete e-commerce environment with customised features. In addition to the WooCommerce foundation, we developed a unique rental pricing system, automatic payment upon return, rental restrictions and QR code generation. Particularly important was the cooperation with external solution providers, such as Qeeper, to ensure integration with the equipment storage or rental cabinet. In addition to developing technical solutions, we also help clients coordinate with external partners to create a cohesive and reliable ecosystem.
