Transferring SEO value and gaining additional value
SEO value must not only be transferred from the previous website, but also be acquired in a new one – after a website redesign that has been carried out according to the basic principles of good SEO practice.
Challenge
The company changed the website and URL structure three times, but the SEO value was not transferred. As the developers changed, each added something of their own, and the historical versions became a mystery, as no structure or URL blueprints were kept.
Solution
Our team researched historical data and website URL structures to produce a 301 map and understand what data to keep for SEO value transfer. Using various tools, we created a mapping of the redirects, directing the value to the relevant sections of the new page.
