Using a ready-made design template, we created an online shop in a short time to sell healthy lifestyle products (food supplements, sports nutrition, sports equipment) online. We created a well-thought-out product category plan and adapted the template design to the company’s style book (colours, logo, etc.).

Project challenge

The main challenge of the project was to improve the structure of the product categories and to ensure an efficient migration of product data from the previous online shop to the new platform.

Izaicinājums

One of the biggest challenges was to redesign the product category structure, as the client’s previous webshop system had a bad category layout: mismatched category names, different products in the same category. The challenge was to transfer the product information from the previous e-shop without losing data and without manual data entry in the new e-shop.

Risinājums

We carried out keyword research and selected keywords matching the category names, checking their search intent. We planned the product category names based on SEO and user experience (UX) best practice principles. We designed a Google Sheets document structure for importing product information into WooCommerce, to enable the client to mass-enter product data and automatically import products into the new e-store.

We created a modern online shop to reach a wider audience, improve online sales processes and strengthen the client’s brand in the digital environment. We used a ready-made design template, ensuring quick implementation and user-friendly results.

The client’s previous e-shop had a number of shortcomings related to a poorly designed catalogue structure and an outdated design. We adapted the chosen design template to the company’s visual identity. We optimised the process of entering and processing product information by creating a customised Google Sheets document structure, which allows for easy and centralised updating of product information in one place and automatic import into the WooCommerce platform.
