Project overview
The project focused on improving product category structure and smoothly migrating product data from the previous online store to a new ecommerce platform.
Challenge
One of the main challenges was restructuring product categories, as the client’s previous online store allowed category duplication and inconsistent naming, causing products to be grouped incorrectly.
Another major task was transferring all product information to the new store without losing data and without requiring manual re-entry.
Solution
We conducted keyword research to align category names with user search behavior and SEO best practices while also improving usability through better UX structure. We designed a Google Sheets product data structure compatible with WooCommerce imports. This allowed the client to update product data in bulk and automatically import it into the new store, avoiding manual data entry.
